The body of a woman has been found in a reserve in Opotiki in the eastern Bay of Plenty.
Robyn Lynne Howe, 52, was reported missing 10 days ago and her death is not believed to be suspicious.
Miss Howe's body was found in a reserve yesterday evening after extensive searches by police, family and friends.
Senior Sergeant Warwick Morehu said the site around the body was today cordoned off to allow police to examine the scene.
"Police and the Howe family would like to thank those that searched yesterday and also the residents of Opotiki that kept a vigil eye for Miss Howe over the 10-day period."
Her body had not yet been formally identified but police were confident it was the missing Opotiki woman.
