Taranaki search and rescue have found the body of a missing New Plymouth man this morning.
Mark Zhu had been missing since Queens Birthday weekend when he told a colleague he was travelling to Auckland.
Detective Sergeant Greg Gray says the 49-year-old's body was found inside his vehicle down a bank on State Highway 3 at Onaero in North Taranaki. He says the vehicle was in bush below road level and was not visible to passing traffic.
Police are continuing their enquiries into the accident and the matter has been reported to the Coroner.
