The body of a missing Korean student has been found partially decomposed in bush at Glenfield, Auckland.
Young Wook Ma, 22, also known as Jack Ma, went missing from his family home in Unsworth Heights in unexplained circumstances on June 12.
The body of the 23-year-old has been forensically identified, police said. A post mortem examination has been completed and police are now awaiting toxicology results which will take some weeks.
The body was found about 150m from Albany Highway.
The family have been informed of the findings and the matter has now been referred to the Coroner.
Mr Ma, a computing student at the Waikato Institute of Technology's Newmarket campus in Auckland, went missing from his home in Glenfield on June 12. Numerous inquiries made throughout Auckland failed to find him.
He had left his home without money, credit cards or extra clothing, and his bank account had not been touched. His mobile phone was active for only two days after he was last seen.
