The body of a missing duck shooter was found this morning in a South Taranaki River near where the man had been hunting.
The 38-year-old Waverley farmer failed to return home from a shooting expedition on Saturday morning, sparking a search.
Wanganui police area commander Inspector Duncan MacLeod said the man's body was found by a dive squad about 11.30am today in the area where police had been focusing their search.
Friends and family located the man's 4 x 4 farm bike upside down in the Whenuakura River near where he had been shooting.
His name had not yet been released.
