The body of missing Auckland man Geok Yeo has been found near Rotorua and police are now appealing to the public for information as they try to piece together his last movements.
Police found Yeo's remains in the Kaituna River on July 8, three weeks after the 65-year-old's family reported him missing from Henderson on June 16.
He was last seen wearing a green and white striped shirt and was wearing the same shirt when his body was found.
Investigators are trying to piece together his movements between the two dates and work out how he got from Henderson to Rotorua as he didn't have access to a vehicle.
Police say they believe Yeo was either given a lift or caught public transport.
