Body of man found on beach identified

Police have identified a man whose body was found on mudflats at Auckland city's Point Chevalier beach last night.

He was Beau Ratcliffe Tereo Cash, 23, who had been reported missing from West Harbour on July 7.

Mr Cash's fully-clothed body was found by two women about 5pm.

He went into the sea at Clearwater Cove on July 2 and searches of the area failed to find any sign of him.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
