The body of a woman found in Auckland's Waitemata Harbour on Sunday has been identified as a patient who disappeared from Auckland Hospital.
Suzanne Leigh Thomas, 54, from the Auckland suburb of St Heliers, went missing from Auckland Hospital on September 7 and police said they were worried about her welfare because she needed medical attention.
Her body was found floating in the harbour at Chelsea Bay and recovered by the police maritime unit.
Her death had been referred to the Coroner and relatives had been told, said police.
