Body found in Wellington shed

Wellington police have launched an investigation after the discovery of a body in the suburb of Mount Victoria last night.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thornton of Wellington CIB said a body was found around 6pm, in a shed in Home Street.

"The occupants have gone into the shed at the rear of the property and found a body, which is believed to be a male," he said.

Mr Thornton said a scene examination had begun this morning and no further details would be released until this afternoon.
