KEY POINTS:
A man has been found dead in a park in Wanganui.
Police say they know the man's identity and are trying to contact his family.
The body has been removed from Kowhai Park which runs alongside the Whanganui river, just north of the city centre.
There is not currently anything to link the death to last weekend's shooting of a toddler in the city and the death is not thought to be suspicious.
