A body has been found in the Waikato River in Hamilton this evening.
Police said they are making enquiries after being notified at about 5.30pm by a member of the public.
Police said they have now recovered the body and will begin enquiries to determine their identity, notify next of kin and determine the circumstance of their death.
“This may take some time and more information will be provided once available,” police said in a statement.
