Body found in search confirmed as missing Dunedin man Fabian Dobson

Police have confirmed the body found in Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown this morning is Fabian Dobson's.

The 27-year-old's death has been referred to the Coroner.

Police extended their sympathies to Dobson's family and friends.

The Police Dive Squad found the body just before 11am.

The 27-year-old was reported missing on Monday. He was last seen on CCTV on Church Lane, Queenstown about 2am on Monday.

The Dunedin man did not return to his accommodation and has not been in touch with friends or family since.
