KEY POINTS:
Police investigating how a body came to be found in estuary water at Otahuhu this morning say the death is not suspicious.
Police said the body appeared to be that of an Asian male and was removed from the water at 10.30am today.
They earlier said they had launched a homicide inquiry as part of standard procedure until proved otherwise.
The body has been transported to the Auckland mortuary and a post mortem will be conducted tomorrow.
Police are calling for reports from the public on missing persons.
