Body found in cemetery identified

An 18-year-old man found dead in a Christchurch cemetery has been named by police.

Christian Ashley Dear, of Christchurch, was found in the grounds of Waimairi Cemetery, Burnside, on Saturday.

Police said there weree no indications of suspicious circumstances and the death has been referred to the coroner.

Officers thanked members of the public who responded to appeals for information and helped identify the body.
