Body found in Buller River identified as missing woman

Police have named the body found in Buller River near Murchison.

She was Rachel Stokes.

There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, police said.

It was reported earlier Ms Stokes car was found crashed near Kawatiri Junction, southwest of Nelson on State Highway 6 on Friday.

It has been referred to the coroner.
