Police will not give any more information about the discovery of the body of a middle-aged man in an Auckland creek yesterday.
The body, whose identity is not yet known, was spotted by a member of the public in a creek in Shepherds Park, Beach Haven, on Auckland's North Shore, about 3pm.
Police had been working on trying to establish the circumstances that have led to his death, a spokesman said.
No details would be released until after a post-mortem examination later today.
A specialist recovery team was needed to recover the body because of the location.
