KEY POINTS:
Four adults were towed back to shore after their 5m boat started taking on water between Browns Bay and Rangitoto last night around 9.
Police said the adults didn't have life jackets and called them on a cellphone after the engine died.
The police launch Deodar took the boat in tow. Police said there were some language difficulties, but nobody was injured.
