A 71-year-old man whose boat and trailer was pinched from his Carterton property overnight is "narked off".
The man, who does not want to be identified, said he returned from holiday on Tuesday to find his green aluminium fishing boat, along with its trailer and a 7 horsepower Johnson motor, worth about $2000, had been stolen from outside his Charles St home.
"They [would have] just opened the gate and walked in, they must have come at night I think," he said.
The man believes the theft took place on Monday night and has reported it to the police.
The boat was sprayed green, on both the inside and outside, by its previous owner so would be quite noticeable, he said.
