Boat capsizes off Whangaparaoa Peninsula

There has been a water rescue in rough conditions off the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, north of Auckland.

A boat capsized, throwing the occupants into the water, about 500 metres of the northern tip of the peninsula. Other boat owners in the area went to their aid and pulled the people out of the water.

Police say they were all wearing life jackets and none of them have suffered injuries.
