BMW Group New Zealand yesterday announced the appointment of Nina Englert, 41, to the position of managing director, effective December 1 this year.
United States-born Englert has worked with the BMW Group for 22 years. She is currently based in Munich managing the regional office for the US, Canada and Mexico.
Having worked in BMW AG's market research and quality departments, Englert moved back to the US in 2000 as aftersales special projects manager and later became manager of customer relations and services.
In 2008, she was appointed manager for the China office in Munich with responsibilities covering product, pricing, marketing, dealer development and aftersales. After two years, she took on the same role for BMW of North America.
BMW Group Australia managing director Phil Horton said: "We work closely with our New Zealand colleagues and Nina will add an extra dimension to the established and successful BMW and Mini teams in Auckland."
