A musician known throughout the country as a "one-man blues storm" will top the bill at the Cross Creek Blues Club meeting at the Tin Hut, Tauherenikau, on Wednesday.
Shayn Hurricane Wills, of Wellington, is not only regarded as a top flight guitar player but also has a country-wide reputation as a singer and harmonica player.
During many decades as a musician Wills has not only performed in his own right, earning the label "a one-man blues storm" but has also played support gigs for the likes of Albert King, Junior Wells, Robert Cray, John Hammond jnr, Canned Hear and Duke Robillard.
His music has earned accolades from contemporary musicians, including evergreen Midge Marsden who describes Wills' ability to play guitar, harmonica and sing as " astounding."
