Northland police have picked up 234 drivers with excess breath alcohol levels during a six-week campaign that ended last Sunday.
The region has one of the highest rates of recidivist drinking drivers in the country.
Northland road policing manager, Inspector Clifford Paxton, said the number of drink-drivers caught showed some people were still not getting the message.
