Blessing performed at site of woman's shooting death near Otorohanga, Waikato

The scene at Otewa Rd, east of Otorohanga where a woman was shot and killed last night.

A kaumatua of the family of a woman shot near Otorohanga last night has performed a karakia at the scene to bless the land and house.

The woman's body remains inside and a police examination is set to continue soon.

A scene guard remains in place as family of the victim begin to arrive.
