Firefighters in the North Island have been called to blazes at a primary school, a high school, and a beauty school overnight.
Northern Communications spokesperson Jaron Phillips said crews were called to Churchill Park School in Glendowie, east Auckland, just before 3am.
A single storey building at the school was "well involved in fire on arrival" and is significantly damaged, Mr Phillips said.
Four crews remain at the scene.
At 9.40pm, two appliances from the Te Puke Volunteer Fire Brigade were called to a fire at Te Puke High School.
