Firefighters have extinguished a blaze on the fifth floor of a central Auckland hotel.
Eight units were sent to the fire at the Heritage Hotel on Hobson St, in the CBD.
A Fire Service spokesman said the incident was under control and an investigator was on the scene trying to determine the cause.
It is unclear whether it was deliberately lit or the result of any other suspicious activity.
