A blaze at a commercial building in the suburb of Rosedale on Auckland's North Shore today was caused by an electrical fault.
The fire broke out at 7.40am at office equipment company Pitney Bowes on Constellation Drive.
"It's definitely an electrical fault within the computer server room, which was either caused by a fan or a computer unit," fire safety officer Lynda McHugh said.
Six fire crews battled the fire at the two storey office warehouse, said Jaron Phillips, shift manager at the northern fire communications centre.
"Firefighters brought the fire under control pretty quickly and managed to contain it to the ground floor."
Mr Phillips said one person was in the building and managed to get out before fire crews arrived.
