Report cards on the country's MP's have failed to come up with a glowing report on any of the three parliamentarians who represent Wairarapa.
National's elected MP Alastair Scott has been judged -- by the transtasman's editors group compiling its 11th annual roll call -- as being "well connected at home, but obviously not so in Wellington" where he is said to have "almost disappeared without trace".
The reference to Wellington is to Mr Scott's profile in parliament, not in the city itself and is not thought to be a remark linked to the belief some people have that he represents Wairarapa but lives in Wellington.
For the record Mr Scott, a first term MP, has property in both Masterton and Wellington.
The transtasman editors who have attached their names to this year's roll call are veteran political watchdog and author Ian Templeton, businessman and entrepeneur Max Bowden and journalist and research analyst Tony Doe.
