Black ice has caused two accidents in Auckland this morning, police said.
They advised motorists to drive with care and said the roads likely to be worst affected were those with little traffic, Inspector Barry Smalley said.
The two crashes were in Huia, west Auckland, and Tuakau, south Auckland. No one was injured.
The temperature at dawn was 3C. Newstalk ZB reported there were frosts in several suburbs.
