Two Auckland students are among four chosen to represent the country in the 17th International Biology Olympiad in Argentina.
Norman Quek from Auckland Grammar School and James Shand from King's College will join Andrew Fu from Burnside High School, Christchurch, and Karen Jackson from Christchurch Girls High.
They will compete against secondary school students from 52 other countries in six hours of theory exams and four practical laboratory exams.
