New Zealand's biggest annual classic car show will be staged in Auckland next February as part of a weekend of classic motoring activities.
The 33rd Intermarque Concours will be held at Ellerslie Racecourse, where around 65 classic car clubs will show more than 400 vehicles.
Special attractions will include a history of V8s, the restoration village, a "best club" display, the MG Car Club gymkhana, and the Meguiar's Shine and Show contest.
New vehicles on show will include Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, Citroen, Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley and others.
MG Car Club launched the first New Zealand Intermarque Concours event in December 1972 in the grounds of One Tree Hill.
In 1981 the Porsche Car Club moved the show to its present venue, providing open air and under cover display, as well as hospitality facilities.
The winning club each year becomes the following year's host club on the organising committee.
Mercedes Benz is the 2006 host, assisted by Alfa Romeo, MG, Lancia, Mustang, Jaguar, Thoroughbred and Classic Cars Owners Club and NZ Classic Car magazine.
A fun run of more than 100 vehicles will be held the previous day.
