Organiser Ray Wallis was delighted with the response to the annual Sanders-Gough Trophy interclub cross-country event at Clareville Showgrounds on Saturday.
Open to clubs operating within the Hutt Valley and Wairarapa regions, it attracted the biggest turnout for years with some excellent performances.
The Ruamahanga Ramblers will hold their long distance cross-country championships at Morison's Haunui farm on the Greytown to Martinborough road on Saturday with actual distances dependent on the weather. Results:
