Dalefield showed plenty of resolve to twice come from behind to draw 4-4 with University last weekend, and more of the same will be needed when they continue their Wellington premier division men's hockey campaign with a match against Northern United at Clareville tomorrow.
Northern United will have a confident mindset after starting the second round with impressive wins over Indians (7-1) and Harbour City (5-3).
There was, though, a lot to like about the way an Andy Ewington-inspired Dalefield side dug deep to pick up their first points of the season and a repeat of that intensity will ensure Northern United don't have everything their own way.
