Beverley Faye Kennedy, 60, who preferred to be known as Faye, worked at The Clinic, on the CTV building's fourth floor.
She was among the 115 people killed when the six-storey building collapsed and caught fire in the earthquake.
Her husband Brian Kennedy described the year since Beverley's death as his "annus horribilis".
Having got through a subdued Christmas with his two daughters, his hope for 2012 is that people will take responsibility for building failures that contributed to deaths in the tragedy.
