A best man at a stag party had to be pepper sprayed after becoming enraged that two women he hired as strippers, pole-danced instead.
Twenty-five-year-old mechanic Jeremy David Garden, formerly of Alexandra but now living in Perth, appeared before Judge Kevin Phillips at the Queenstown District Court.
He was charged with resisting a policeman and intentionally damaging a glass at the Lake Hawea Hotel on November 8.
Garden was convicted and fined $600, court costs $130 and reparation of $3.60 for the broken glass.
Prosecuting Sergeant Ian Collin said Garden engaged the services of two women on the Kiwi Strippers website.
