The New Zealand International Film Festival will showcase the biggest ever line-up of New Zealand feature films.
The festival coincides with the 40th anniversary of the Auckland International Film Festival and features the world premiere of Sima Urale's family drama Apron Strings.
Apron Strings was shot at Otahuhu in Auckland and reflected the city's growing ethnic diversity.
Film Festival Director Bill Gosden said the range of New Zealand films made it "abundantly clear that our culture is becoming increasingly and excitingly inclusive."
The festival runs in Auckland on July 10-27 and in Wellington from July 18 to August 3.
