The Education Ministry is keeping secret the outcome of a meeting with Tauranga's Bellevue Primary School about the enrolment of Lucy Wright.
The meeting was held on Friday in an effort to resolve the deadlock over the 6-year-old before Education Minister Trevor Mallard returns from overseas.
Mr Mallard had warned Bellevue he would appoint a limited statutory manager to take over enrolments if the school failed to enrol Lucy.
Murray Williams, the ministry's manager for student support, attended the meeting but refused to comment apart from saying some progress had been made.
Lucy has attention deficit hyperactive disorder.
