The man accused of murdering Bellevue woman Sandra Brown has again appeared in court without entering pleas.
Tamati Mason, 41, who is charged with the murder of 59-year-old Mrs Brown and the attempted murder of her 27-year-old daughter Kate, made another brief appearance in Tauranga District Court yesterday.
When police arrived at the Browns' Graham Place home at 5.30am on February 20 they found Mrs Brown dead and her daughter seriously injured with multiple stab wounds.
Mason's lawyer Craig Tuck told Judge Louis Bidois that he was seeking one last adjournment to resolve an outstanding issue referred to in a medical report that is before the court.
Judge Bidois further remanded Mason in custody without pleas until April 12, when Mr Tuck said he expected to be in a position to progress matters.
The judge also granted an extension of the time for police to file formal written statements to support the charges.
None of the Browns' family attended court, but a number of Mason's whanau were seated in the public gallery and yelled out words of support including "kia kaha" as he left the dock.
