Bee's role in car hitting pole

A car crashed into a power pole in Church St on Wednesday after the driver was attacked by a bee.

Senior Sergeant Warwick Burr said the car had turned out of Colombo Rd and into Church St about 11am when the male driver was distracted by the bee.

"The driver lost concentration and turned off the road, hitting a power pole," Mr Burr said.

The driver was not injured but it is not known if he was stung by the bee.
