Look your best, keep gossiping to a minimum and don't always listen to the judges - these are some of the top tips to become New Zealand's Next Top Model.
As TV3's producers audition this year's young contenders to go poolside in a new luxury mansion, last year's models are working their new, sometimes glamorous, careers.
Two finalists from the first series had a few words of wisdom for hopefuls.
Series winner Christobelle Grierson-Ryrie, now 17, said those who audition need to find a way to stand out to the judges.
Since the first season, the North Shore model has been fitting in trips to Sydney and New York between her school work at Diocesan School for Girls. But she maintains she is "just a student at school".
At auditions, she advises, don't get overwhelmed. "Smile at eliminations, don't gossip about the other girls unless you can take what you give and don't listen to the judges when they are critiquing your photos. Stay focused."
Runner-up Laura Scaife, now 21, said having confidence was the most important thing. "Don't argue with the judges, don't turn up to elimination looking scruffy and treat every elimination like a casting and always look your best," said Scaife. "Also don't get involved in any of the other girls' dramas.
"Being on the show is an incredible learning experience that you will never forget."
Since the show, Wellington-born Scaife has been involved in Melbourne Fashion Week, New Zealand Fashion Week and walking the catwalk for Gucci.
Auditions for season two of the show open on June 5 in Auckland and end on June 13 in Tauranga.
