"They were wicked. I haven't seen them live but I'm glad I came down.
"I've got some friends in there somewhere but I can't get into get them. The Prodigy is next. I'm going to head over with the boys afterwards," Don said.
Craig was also impressed by the Murphys.
"I've listened to their stuff for a while now," he said.
Craig also caught Living End and Luger Boa.
8.30pm:
This is Perry's eighth Big Day Out and it's "another damn good one".
He was on his way to Weta and was hoping to catch the Dropkick Murphys and Phantomas.
"Not really knowing the bands, today has gone very well.
Felicity was taking some time out of the Boiler Room. "It's pretty boring at the moment," she said.
Felicity said Neil Young would be the highlight of her night.
"I was brought up on him all my life," she said.
6.25pm:
Dave and Richard caught the end of the 'Datsuns' who they said played better than 'Shihad' live.
"It was amazing, we should have been here earlier. Twin les Paul (guitars), it's straight back to 'Twin Lizzy'."
Its the third time Richard has seen them live and he said this was the best.
"We've got the 'Arctic Monkey's' next and the 'Prodigy' and Neil Young to finish it off," he said.
5.42pm:
Neil
has come to see Neil Young.
All the way from England, he has combined the Big Day Out with a visit to his daughter who lives here in NZ.
"We tried to see the 'Ting Tings' but we couldn't get anywhere near," Neil said.
"I haven't been to Glastonbury but I have been to see some big concerts in England and this is pretty impressive.
"It's been very well organised."
He said he wanted to see the 'Prodigy' but as it clashes with Neil Young he'll be giving it a miss.
5.17pm:
Rob
plays percussion for the band 'An Emerald City', who were on earlier today in the Boiler Room, but that's the only full set he has managed to catch today.
Asked about the crowd, fellow percussionist Rob said "they were pretty up-there, I was pleasantly surprised".
He said he was looking forward to seeing 'Sheba' "who has done some work with us".
5.02pm:
Phloss
and her friends are at the Lillyworld stage. She's looking forward to "performing".
Phloss will be taking the stage and dancing with the 'Cynical Brothers' around 6.45pm.

, dressed in a head dress from Laos.
"There's just not enough culture here, so I thought I'd bring a bit of my own," Irene said. She was looking forward to catching the 'Black Seeds'.

Chris and Trudy
are here to see Neil Young tonight but they're spending some time listening to 'Bullet for my Valentine'.
"We just got here but these guys are pretty cool," Chris said.
Yogi and Sharon
are taking a breather on the grass. This is Sharon's second Big Day Out while Yogi has "been to nearly all of them".
The pair are looking forward to the 'Prodigy' and 'Serj Tankian'.

have just caught 'Elemeno P' and the 'Ting Tings' and a little bit of 'P-Money'.
Sarah said the pair are looking forward to seeing Tiki Taane.

Having come all the way from Kerikeri, Shelley and Geoff plan to catch Neil Young performing tonight.
The couple, aged in their fifties, are at their first Big Day Out "and probably our last," said Geoff.
Shelley said their kids had been before, but "they laughed at us when we told them".
"I thought there might be a few more old codgers, but they're probably saving themslves," said Geoff.
Shelley said the pair would like to have seen the 'Dropkick Murphys', but unfortunately they are on at the same time as Neil Young. "The Lillypad looks interesting, a bit more funky," said Shelly.

who lives in Thailand is looking forward to Neil Young but the WIUO was "fantastic".
"We came in on the bus after lining up outside Real Groovy this morning,
"We're just going to walk around, we've got our drinking pass," he said.

, is looking forward to "Prodigy and basically anything techno". In his lime green fluro singlet, complete with air vent holes, says he's ready for a big afternoon and evening.
"I've just been to the boiler room but it's not my type of music. It's slowly getting hotter in there," he said.
Liam, UK
Liam
, and some mates have come all the way from the UK, and are looking forward to the Sneaky Sound System and the Prodigy later on tonight.
Dressed in a singlet with Knights of Columbus in permanent marker and a red cross, Liam said he is a lifeguard. He has the water wings to prove it.
"We're going around the world. We started in America on Route 66 and have been through Tonga and Samoa," said Liam.
He and his friends have just survived the Blues, Booze and BBQs festival.
"We're here for a booze up and to enjoy the music," Liam said.
