Bay of Plenty pedestrian killed

A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in the western Bay of Plenty early yesterday.

Police said the man was struck by the car near the intersection of Te Matai Rd and State Highway 2 at Paengaroa, 10km south east of Te Puke, about 5.20am.
