Repairs from major flooding in the Bay of Plenty is likely to top $10 million.
Figures released today by Environment Bay of Plenty reveal that major flooding events in August and December last year, and January 2011 have caused $10.5 million worth of damage.
By the end of 2010 over one million dollars had already been spent on repairs from the August floods - that caused people to flee their homes.
Further storms created more damage, especially in areas where repairs were not complete.
