An elderly man who was seriously injured in a crash on the West Coast last Tuesday has died in Christchurch Hospital.
Kevin Arthur Wylie, 72, suffered head, chest, leg and arm injuries in the crash, which happened just 100m from his Barrytown home as he was driving back from Greymouth.
Mr Wylie died on Saturday.
Police said there was evidence to suggest the man may have suffered a heart attack before crashing.
