Police are hunting a suspected serial bank robber after two banks in Auckland were hit yesterday and a third entered.
Two hold-ups were at the Kiwibank in Ponsonby (1.30pm) and the ASB in Glenfield Mall (3.30). He is also thought to be the person who entered the Manukau Post Shop at lunchtime but left before reaching the counter.
Hundreds of dollars were taken at Ponsonby, said Detective Sergeant Eddie Iosefa of the Auckland Central Crime Squad. The man wore a hoodie pulled over his face.
Police are also looking at similar hold-ups in Otahuhu in the past week.
