Sue Bankier of Masterton followed up her silver medal winning effort in the 50-54 years age group at the world aquathon championships in Auckland last week with a fourth placing at the world triathlon championships, also in Auckland.
The aquathon involved a 1km swim and a 5km run and also competing was Diane Chesmar of Masterton who was 18th in the 55-59 age group.
The triathlon consisted of a 1500m swim, 40km cycle and 10km run, with Bankier recording a time of 2h 33m 38s.
