Police in South Auckland yesterday arrested a man alleged to have robbed a National Bank branch in Manukau on Monday.
Security footage showing the man casually taking money as it was being deposited featured heavily in the media, but the public were slow to respond to calls for the man's identity.
Detective Sergeant Faa Vaaelua said a man was arrested yesterday afternoon following a call from a member of the public reporting the man's identity.
The man will appear in the Manukau District Court today and is expected to face a charge of aggravated robbery.
