Police have taken a man into custody after a bank robbery in Invercargill this afternoon.
A spokeswoman said police received a report of a robbery at an address on Don St at around 12.20pm.
A 26-year-old man had entered the bank with a knife and demanded money, before fleeing.
He handed himself in at an Invercargill police station a short time later, and gave back the money.
He would appear in the Invercargill District Court today on a charge of aggravated robbery.
