A bank and a NZ Post store in South Auckland have been targets of an attempted burglary this afternoon.
In two separate incidents, ten minutes apart, a man walked into the Highland Park Kiwi Bank and Botany Town Centre's NZ Post demanding cash.
A police spokeswoman says no-one saw a weapon but the man claimed he had one.
She says the crime squad is still investigating the incident.
