A traffic diversion is in place near Palmerston North after a truck full of bananas blocked No 1 Line, a rural road.
A truck overturned this afternoon one the southwest outskirts of the city and the bananas it was carrying were being unloaded by hand.
Police suggested traffic use Rongotea-Longburn Rd and Amberly and Tremaine Aves while the fruit was cleared.
