An ill juror means no evidence will be heard today in the High Court murder trial of David Bain.
Proceedings were due to reconvene at 10am in the trial, but the absence of a juror meant that the only discussion held was between the lawyers and judge about procedural matters, and matters relating to the media.
Bain, 36, is accused of shooting dead his parents, Robin and Margaret, and siblings, Laniet, Arawa and Stephen, in Dunedin on June 20, 1994.
His defence team argue Robin killed the rest of his family before turning the rifle on himself.
The trial is expected to last at least three months.
