KEY POINTS:
A suppression order has been imposed on submissions at High Court hearing in Christchurch on a change of venue for the David Bain murder retrial.
The pre-trial hearing began today before Justice Graham Panckhurst who imposed an order at the beginning, preventing publication of any of the submissions.
He said the order would apply at least until the end of the hearing or until he issues his decision.
Bain was freed on bail in May after the Privy Council quashed his convictions for murdering his mother Margaret, father Robin, sisters Arawa, 19, and Laniet, 18, and his 14-year-old brother Stephen, at the family home in Dunedin in 1994.
Bain had served 13 years in prison for the murders by then.
August 11 has been set as the date for the retrial.
